Golf World's second ranking focused solely on the best links courses in Great Britain and Ireland features a mix of classic old-school layouts and modern design.

According to the magazine, the British Golf Museum defines a links as: “Land near the coast characterised by undulating terrain, often associated with dunes, infertile sandy soil and indigenous grasses such as marram, sea lyme, and the fescues and bents which, when properly managed, produce the fine textured turf for which links are famed.”

Though precise ranking positions may be debatable, this is an enviable list of some of the most enjoyable courses in the world.
