The Course at Sewanee was built in 1915 by Albion Knight and renovated by Gil Hanse in 2013. Golf Magazine described his work as "A fun, rollicking test set in some of the great Smoky Mountain scenery and unlocked by a creative redesign courtesy of Gil Hanse at the beginning of the decade."
While the original hole routing remains the same, Hanse redesigned all nine greens and most of the tees, fairways and bunkers.
