In Volume 3 of The Confidential Guide to Golf Courses, Tom Doak published that.
“The development course at the north end of Castle Pines is the sort of course I kept hoping to find in Colorado: a rugged course with fantastic mountain views. At times it is a bit narrow through the trees, and there is one awful hole [the severely uphill 9th], but it’s strategically interesting without having too many severe hazards. Scorecard trivia: the front nine weighs in at 4,003 yards, though the altitude and many downhill holes make it play much less.“
The Country Club at Castle Pines received a score of 6 out of 10 from Tom Doak
and a score of 6 out of 10 from one of his co-authors.
