In Volume 3 of The Confidential Guide to Golf Courses, Tom Doak wrote of the his work at Tumble Creek:

"The more exclusive side of the SunCadia development, Tumble Creek is the best-kept secret in the Pacific Northwest. We subdued our bunkering here to a more classic style, so perhaps there is not the wow factor of some of our other work, yet the huge vistas of the mountains and the Cle Elum River snaking alongside the course are some of the prettiest I’ve worked with, and the big picture window exposes the course to often strong afternoon winds."
