In Volume 3 of The Confidential Guide to Golf Courses, Tom Doak published that:
“On the private side of the development [separated from Ghost Creek by a two-headed driving range], Witch Hollow is far more appealing to the eye, with a variety of bunkering patterns and a lot more native grasses at the margins of the course. All of that makes it tougher than its little sister, but to compound the difficulty, there are several long holes with wide and shallow greens guarded by a frontal hazard … a design feature Cupp learned from Jack Nicklaus, which doesn’t play well for anybody with a handicap higher than four.”
The Witch Hollow Course at Pumpkin Ridge received a score of 6 out of 10 from Tom Doak, and a score of 6 out of 10 from one of his co-authors.
