Frederica is an engineering marvel that has become a magical golf course in a very short time. The engineering of architect Tom Fazio is legend in itself. Seven million cubic yards of sandy soil were moved to create the highest ridge in Glynn County. More than 1,100 massive lie oaks were transplanted and now tower over the dunes and ridges.

Major championship winners Davis Love III, Zach Johnson, Lucas Glover, Brandt Snedeker, David Toms and more play here and pronounce it splendid. National amateur champions come from afar to join and attest its charm. And the members proclaim it a stern challenge on a course unlike anything they have played.

The name Frederica comes from the nearby fort that the English and the Scottish Highlanders defended from the Spanish invaders when America still was a land of dreams. Those dreams prevailed. And now the battles at Frederica are ours, never fulfilled because golf always is about the future dreams. We celebrate our field of dreams today while we create a legacy for tomorrow.
