The West Course, a parklands design, exemplifies subtle beauty with its gnarled oaks, lush native grass and sparkling lagoons. Even before the grand opening of the West Course in fall 1996, LINKS Magazine called it “what could be the finest set of golf holes in the Lowcountry, if not on the East Coast.” This 18-hole, par-72 course with 7,111 total yards from the championship tees consists of challenging par threes to long par fives.
Scalloped, landscaped bunkers frame virtually every hole. Beyond the five sets of tees, other design elements include rolling terrain fairways, hazards which flank rather than front the line of play and manicured elevated undulating greens.
