From club website:
The Atlanta Country Club has a rich tradition and history. It is consistently ranked as one of the top golf courses in the country. Originally designed by Willard C. Byrd, the course is built adjacent to historic Sope Creek and Confederate paper mill ruins from the Civil War era. These ruins may be viewed from the signature 13th Hole.
Over the years modifications to the course have been made by Jack Nicklaus, Bob Cupp and most recently Mike Riley. The newest changes came in 2001 with the redesign and renovation of all eighteen of the green complexes.
