THE REAL SOCIEDAD DE GOLF DE NEGURI WAS FOUNDED IN 1911 WITH AN 11-HOLE COURSE, LOCATED ON LAND IN THE MUNICIPALITY OF LEIOA. DUE TO THE DEMOGRAPHIC DEVELOPMENT OF THE AREA, LAND WAS ACQUIRED IN PUNTA GALEA, GUECHO MUNICIPALITY, WHERE THE NEW FIELD WAS BUILT AND INAUGURATED IN 1961.
The course has an 18-hole course with a total length of 6,280 meters, with a par 72 and a slope value of 126. It is located 60 meters above sea level and was designed by D. Javier Arana.
The tour includes a first round of 9 holes located on the cliff and overlooking the Cantabrian Sea, where the most frequent factor affecting the game is the strong northwest wind that whips the area. The second round of the course has a character quite different from that of the first holes. In this turn the difficulty is centered in the mass of plantation, mainly of marine pine that surrounds each hole.
