Owners of Jeju Island’s most scenic course, Jungmun was one of the earliest public courses on the island and is located right beside a popular beach and resort area. Sadly, the course is also badly dated, poorly shaped and ordinary by comparison to the lavish private clubs popping up across the island.
Despite the problems, it wouldn’t take much to reverse Jungmun as the poorest holes, like those right along the cliffs, have the most potential for improvement. The rest just need their flat greens and wide fairways tweaked, and the addition of some sensible, strategic bunkering to make it a fantastic place for golf.
