Golf Digest South Africa says -
The course where Bobby Locke won the SA Open and SA Amateur “double” as a 17-year-old schoolboy in 1935. It was the only time Parkview hosted a South African championship, and the traditional club still has strong ties with the Locke history. Parkview is an interesting, narrow design in the suburbs, where the tree-lined holes run alongside a deep concrete sluit which provides a constant hazard. The 15th is a magnificent ‘Augusta-like’ par 3.
