Golf Digest South Africa says -
You won’t find many courses more challenging than Kyalami in the Gauteng region. Set in tranquil horse-riding country, this is a proper championship layout, with not a weak hole in sight. The front nine is particularly demanding, even off the club tees, with fairways tightly guarded by mature trees, while the back nine brings several water hazards into play, notably at the long par-4 11th and the intimidating par-3 17th. The greens were rebuilt in 2011.
