The club is one of the oldest in Gauteng (1900), and this grand old parkland layout, framed by tall trees, had its greens upgraded in 2010, so it has gone up a notch in terms of looks and conditioning. There are some tight driving holes to be negotiated, and the sixth (pictured) is a terrific long par 3, with the green guarded by water on the right. Superb 19th hole boma forms part of the clubhouse.
