Pezula Golf Course - 14th Hole
5 (1)
Designer:
Course Opened: 0000

From the club website:

The course originally had bayview greens and very few bunkers until, in 1994, an extensive upgrade program was launched and 18 new bent greens were built. Today we enjoy greens which are highly receptive, with a constantly smooth putting surface all year round.

Over the years, new tidal pools and channels have been introduced and real attention paid to the bunkering throughout the layout.

Although the course is flat, the many tidal water hazards, raised undulating greens, strategic bunkering and the fact that the course is at sea level makes the course play much longer than the 5,820 metres on the card.

The course record stands at 64 – only achieved in 2012 by our then resident professional Chris Dixon.

It is a par 72 with a South African Golf Union rating of 70 having 4 par 5s, 4 par 3s and 10 par 4s. Water hazards are in play on 12 holes. The signature hole is the par 3 8th with it’s island green and at 152 metres is usually played with a cross wind.
