Designed by Gary Player’s company and located only 4km from Plettenberg Bay, Goose Valley Golf Club lies in the heart of South Africa’s popular Garden Route. The golf course is part of a housing estate, and enjoys views of the Ocean, the Keurbooms Lagoon and impressive Tsitsikamma Mountains.
Golf Digest South Africa says -
Goose Valley began as a 9-holer, with a housing estate component, and was extended to 18 holes in 2002 when the estate grew. It’s a scenic and enjoyable course close to the Keurbooms River, where it pays to be accurate rather than long. There is a significant difference in looks between the original holes, built among trees and fynbos, and the new ones, which occupy more open terrain.
The par-3 11th, with its scenic backdrop, must rank among the most attractive short holes in the Garden Route.
