An excellent club spirit exists at this club in the rocky hills south of Johannesburg. The course layout is in a tranquil river valley, overlooked by homes, and it has some outstanding holes. Originally owned by a property company which went bust, Glenvista was bought for R65 000 by the members in 1978: a bargain looking back in time. The clubhouse has a splendid outlook over the course, so the opening holes play downhill, and the finishing holes come back up.
