Warren Golf & Country Club (formerly known as Warren Golf Club) was founded by the late Brigadier Derek Warren of the British 18th Signal Regiment. The Club started with a 4-hole golf course and quickly expanded to feature a 9-hole golf course together with a driving range when it officially opened at Folkestone Road in 1962. Over the years, the Club progressed and it now has an 18-hole championship golf course as well as an extensive range of social and recreational facilities.
The current championship course was designed by Robin Nelson and Neil Haworth in 2000, who described the project as, "not unduly long by modern standards yet plays deceptively so thanks to its interesting mix of long and short par 4's. The completed course features plenty of water (the site is bounded by drainage canals), wide immaculate fairways and deceptively challenging greens. Fully sand capped with 400mm of sand, the course is playable immediately after the heaviest tropical downpour."
The golf club occupies a tight 42-hectare site adjoining the Kranji Reservoir, in the north of Singapore.
