Originally an out and back classic style links, the Jubilee Course was given a major overhaul by Donald Steel in 1989, Steel able to use dump land closer to the sea to add some new holes and give the course a little modern length.
Although upsetting to some of the purists, Steel's efforts here weren't bad and the current Jubilee layout is actually quite good. The routing is solid, and there are a few arresting holes - such as the 8th and 15th, as well as interesting green complexes at the 2nd and 4th.
Don't expect this track to be as popular or as busy as the Old or New courses here at St Andrews, but this actually helps make Jubilee a nice alternative for those spending time in golf's most sacred city.
