The Annesley Links at Royal County Down shares the same magnificent setting as the Championship Links and is full of character. Although much shorter than the Championship Links, it is still a very testing course, with magnificent views of sea, mountains and duneland.

The second course at Royal County Down is a great example of how a short course can provide some entertaining and testing golf for all levels of golfer. Having said that, the Club have taken the opportunity to extend the course with two major projects.
The first was carried out by Donald Steel & Company and involved extending the course at the far end with two new holes - a par 3 and a short par 4.
The second project has been masterminded by Mackenzie & Ebert and has added two par 4s and a par3 played around a huge sandhill behind the 3rd green of the Championship Course. The views from the new holes are the equal of any of the well-known majestic vistas at Royal County Down and the new 10th hole gets as close to the beach as any of the 36 holes.
