In Volume 1 of The Confidential Guide to Golf Courses, Tom Doak published that.
“Several miles to the south-east of Cork town, this interesting mix of parkland and quarry holes provides an engaging test. The parkland holes are mostly forgettable, but Dr. MacKenzie’s holes in and around the quarry are exceptional, including the one-shot 7th and 9th down in the bottom, and the par-5 11th along the upper rim.“
Cork Golf Club received a score of 5 out of 10 from Tom Doak and a score of 6 out of 10 from one of his co-authors.
