The golf course at Evian was originally developed by the Evian Mineral Water Company as a nine-hole track in 1904, which expanded to 18 holes in 1922. Between 1988 and 1990 it was completely overhauled by Cabell B. Robinson into the course we largely see today as host of the Evian Championship.
