Kent Golf is up there with the best in England, with The London Club offering two Championship courses. A county in southeast England, Kent is home to some of the most beautiful countryside in the UK. Widely known as The Garden of England, Kent boasts many orchard and hop gardens making it a beautiful place to visit all year round. Not only for these reasons Golf in Kent is a dream come true.
The Heritage, the first of The London Golf Clubs courses, is the realisation of the dream of businessman Masao Nagahara. Masao felt that there was a need for a world-class golf club close to London. Jack Nicklaus designed The Heritage with five sets of tees for all abilities. The course, a favourite amongst the keen golfer, played host to 2008 The European Open. It was here that England’s Ross Fisher pulled an attractive 7 shot victory out of the bag. Frenchman, world number 449, Christian Cevaer was a one shot shock winner of the 2009 European Open, again staged on The Heritage course.
Boasting daunting approaches and breathtaking tee shots ensuring the course is both enjoyable and memorable to all. Tempted by the generous wide fairways you may be inclined to reach for your driver on several tees. The Heritage teases with huge USGA greens, protected by large irregularly shaped bunkers which wait to catch odd the shot. This course really is a cracker! Prided on maintenance to the highest standards of London golf courses, advance booking is advisable.
