In Volume 1 of The Confidential Guide to Golf Courses, Tom Doak published that.
“Littlestone has been there for ages – C.B. Macdonald got his idea for the 4th hole at Lido from the long par-4 16th at Littlestone – but much of today’s course owes its origins to Dr. MacKenzie’s consulting visit in 1924, including the par-3 6th and 17th holes, and the difficult par-4 8th. The fairways are rather flat for a links, and a bit heavier as well.”
Littlestone Golf Club received a score of 6 out of 10 from Tom Doak.
