In Volume 3 of The Confidential Guide to Golf Courses, Tom Doak published that.
“Set in the gorge of the North Saskatchewan River just west of the city, Royal Mayfair is a pleasant course over gently rolling and heavily treed ground. Greens like those at the par-4 2nd, 6th and 17th give it a bit of character, but the bunkering is entirely disconnected from the ground and from any sort of interesting strategy, and not at all reminiscent of Thompson’s work.“
Royal Mayfair Golf Club received a score of 4 out of 10 from Tom Doak.
