“I had an interesting experience here; a friend and I just stopped in and wound up playing with a member he knew, so I arrived with no knowledge of the course, but on the first tee I asked who had built the bunker through the fairway, because it was obviously a modern positioning on an older course. [It was part of a Ron Garl redesign.] The course is built across a good piece of property, but I don’t think they’ve gotten the most out of the ground.”
