Thaxted Park Golf Club is located in the Southern suburb of Woodcroft only 20 km from Adelaide’s CBD. The Club was officially opened in 1964. The course layout takes advantage of the rolling hills, offering views to the sea and many of the tree lined fairways are interwoven with the creeks and dams which attract an abundance of wildlife.
Built by the Foundation members the course had only seen minor alterations up until 2015. Over the last 2 years the front nine has been redeveloped under the guidance of golf architects Crafter and Mogford.
With many holes that could be labelled as signature, our key hole is the 6th a par 5 where the green has been modelled on the iconic 17th Road hole at St Andrews.
Thaxted Park Golf Club offers a course that has a lay out comprising Santa Anna irrigated fairways and bent greens that are the envy of most Clubs. With a natural layout that delivers holes in all directions of the compass, you will never feel like you are playing the same hole again.
