The Civic Golf Club acquired a lease of this land in 1950. The Randwick Golf Club lost their course to the University of N.S.W. in 1959 and the two clubs amalgamated in 1960. This Clubhouse was officially opened by the Premier of New South Wales, The Hon. R.J.Heffron, M.H.R. Member for Maroubra on August 6th 1962.
Randwick Golf Club recently celebrated it 50th Anniversary at Malabar in 2012 and is an 18 hole 3545 metre, par 59 links style golf course overlooking the picturesque Pacific Ocean.
The current club has just over 1100 members made up of a mixture of categories, with the Randwick Golf Course and pro shop being open 364 days a year to its members and the public to enjoy our wonderful facility.
Randwick Golf Club at Malabar also boasts a recently refurbished, fully licensed club house with ample parking including the Bay Window gourmet restaurant that is a popular choice for both visitors and locals alike for any occasion.
