Designed by Gordon Oliver and opened by Victorian Governor Sir Dallas Brooks in 1950, the Green Acres Golf Club is pressed against Melbourne’s Yarra River and wedged between neighbours the Kew and Lonsdale Golf Clubs. While the three clubs share undeniable similarities, Green Acres enjoys areas of elevation change and an attractive collection of tall native trees and natural billabongs. An impressive clubhouse refurbishment in recent times has given the club even greater appeal for those looking at a private golf membership near the Melbourne CBD.
