The Dunsborough Lakes Golf Club was formed in 1993 and grew with the Golf Shop and Tavern buildings which you see today. That steady growth and the unifying process of establishing the Club’s own identity means the members already enjoy a mature, welcoming camaraderie. The members commenced the process of purchasing the golf course and tavern in late 2014 which was completed in September 2016. Today the Club controls its own destiny and is blessed to have a stable, growing membership with vast accumulated experience in business and hospitality, to forge a strong future.
The 18-hole championship course of 6204m was originally designed by Australian PGA great Alan Murray, winner of the French Open, the Australian PGA, Australian Wills Masters and 59 other professional tournaments. More recently it has been reviewed by local resident and PGA veteran Lyndsay Stephen and Phil Scott of Scott Golf Designs.
Course Superintendent Neil Thorpe has tended the course’s Hybrid Wintergreen fairways and 1019 Providence Bent greens for 16 years, giving stability to the management of its many lakes and waterways and its unique mixture of soil types. Neil’s previous club was Lake Karrinyup Country Club.
