Tight, tree lined and a little up and back in places, Brighton is nonetheless a decent public access golf course inside the Melbourne Sandbelt with a handful of fun and interesting holes. The par threes are mostly fine, and short par fours like the 2nd, 4th, 5th and 7th offer genuine chances for birdie or better but with a commensurate risk from the tee.
The nines were swapped in recent times, and the shorter more enjoyable back nine is now the front while the longer back and forth tree-lined holes conclude the round. For a fun round at an inexpensive green fee it comes recommended.
