The Alice Springs Golf Club is a desert layout that has been described as the ‘sporting showpiece of the unofficial capital of Central Australia.’ It was designed by Peter Thomson and Michael Wolveridge in 1985, and is set attractively in the foothills of the majestic MacDonnell Ranges.
There are a number of quality hotels in proximity to the course, and keen golfers making the trek to Uluru to visit Australia’s most famous rock should seriously consider breaking their voyage with a round on ‘the Alice.'
