Rocky Roquemore runs a Georgia-based design company that has built a number of popular courses in Europe as well as local American layouts. Perhaps the most successful of his courses are on the Algarve coastline in Portugal, but despite full tee sheets and plenty of package tour visitors none of Quinta da Ria, Quinta de Cima, Quinta do Lago, Vale do Lobo or Vilamoura (Laguna Course) have much to recommend.

The New course at Lawsonia in Wisconsin is another Roquemore layout that doesn’t quite hit the mark, despite some pretty decent golfing ground.
