In the mould of a Mike Stranz or perhaps mid-career Pete Dye, Rob Collins is a passionate and wildly creative golf course designer with a small but growing portfolio of work.
Along with partner Tad King, he was responsible for the complete transformation of a nondescript 9-hole course in Tennessee into a genuine American cult classic. The Sweetens Cove experience has become much loved and acclaimed throughout the USA. Numerous articles have been written about the layout, as well as a book, whilst a group of celebrity owners was drafted in to complete the development. Despite having only 9 holes, the Sweetens Cove course is entertaining and great fun to play.
Since the discovery of their work at Sweetens Cove, the King-Collins Golf Course Design business has experienced an increase in demand. They have new projects in Mississippi, New York and Texas, as well as the eagerly anticipated Landmand Golf Club in Nebraska (2022).
