Jim Fazio is the nephew of George Fazio, an accomplished professional golfer and the man responsible for introducing the family to golf course design. Jim learned from his uncle, and since starting his own design business has been fairly successful in attracting high-profile clientele. His most notable creation is the Trump International course in Florida, which is reasonably interesting but hamstrung by a lack of space and a focus on water and glamour over strategic golf holes.
The other Jim Fazio course we are familiar with is the Le Querce layout in Italy, which is a rather unremarkable creation on decent ground outside of Rome.
