Professional golfer turned commentator turned part-time golf designer, Jack Newton worked with partners Graeme Grant and the late John Spencer to establish a course architecture firm that redesigned the famed Huntingdale layout in Melbourne's sandbelt and then built the underated Links Lady Bay course in South Australia.
Once their design business had been dissolved, Newton focused more on his charity and junior golf work. He did design a golf course in the Hunter Valley of NSW and, until his sad passing in 2022, remained one of Australia's most loved golfing figures.
