A long time associate of Dr. Michael Hurdzan, Dana Fry is an accomplished American course creator who spent most of the 1990s and 2000s traveling the globe building on the incredibly prolific Hurdzan Fry portfolio. Fry demonstrated real conceptional and construction talents at Calusa Pines in Florida, Shelter Harbor in Rhode Island and the Devil’s Paintbrush course in Canada, but will probably be best remembered for his work on the Erin Hills Golf Course in Wisconsin, which played host to the US Open in 2017.
In mid 2012 Fry and Hurdzan announced they were splitting their successful design partnership, with Dana Fry joining forces with Jason Straka to create a new business titled Fry/Straka Global Golf Design, LLC. Dana Fry is one of the more reputable designers in golf right now, and we expect the quality of work from this new venture to remain quite high.
