Cabell B. Robinson worked with Robert Trent Jones Senior, and has lived in Spain ever since being sent there by Jones to open their first European office in the 1970s. Many of the Jones courses in Europe were actually designed by Robinson, and his solo efforts follow a fairly similar formula. They are well built, attractive and generally fun to play without ever quite scaling the heights of the game’s greatest designers.
Robinson's best efforts are the likes of Praia D’El Rey on superb dune land in Portugal, Sperone with Jones in Corsica and Troia south of Lisbon.
