Another celebrity golfer turned so-called 'designer', Annika Sorenstam's course at Mission Hills in China was designed and built by the Schmidt-Curley team who did a good job on decent forested slopes creating an interesting layout that never quite reaches the heights of the best golf in the area.

Some of her other projects, such as a new resort course in Belek, Turkey, are being designed and built by European Golf Design, which doesn't bode well for the success of these projects. From a marketing perspective Annika Sorenstam (Annika Course Design) would seem a sound design choice, but developers looking to create genuine top quality golf courses should only consider her as part of a co-design team with a proper Quality Endorsed Golf Architect.
