This memorably scenic parkland course on the slopes of Town Hill has been improved in two main respects in recent years. Firstly, there was a tree-removal programme which helped both the conditioning and the overall look of the layout. Secondly, the greens were modernised by Golf Data from money raised by the housing estate now to be seen on the perimeter of the course. Victoria has an interesting mix of long and short par 4s. Ernie Els played his last SA Amateur here in 1989, and won the strokeplay title.
