Profile

Geoffrey Cornish is a legendary figure in golf, who first started in the course design business back in 1935 while working with Canadian Stanley Thompson. He is probably most renowned for restoration and renovation work at classic courses like Olympia Fields and Brookline, although his design associates did establish a fairly solid portfolio of new courses over a period of several decades.

A great name in golf, Cornish passed away in 2012 and is a man to be respected even if his design legacy is not quite as significant as that of his illustrious mentor.
